Adult ADHD Diagnostic Consultations
An adult ADHD assessment generally takes approximately 2-3 hours and will cover:
Family history and background
Details of social circumstances and the impact your symptoms have had on you
Physical health examination, which may include blood tests – this is required before treatment with medication can begin.
Discussion of treatment options
Agreement of a treatment plan between you and your Consultant
The full ADHD assessment process includes:
Completion and evaluation of diagnostic questionnaires by our consultant psychiatrist
Blood pressure and ECG tests
GP and consultant liaison
Diagnosis and treatment plans
Preparation and supply of prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy
Monitoring of treatment
